I really don't think you should be trying to get over him! Yous seem perfect together, and its great that his family like you and you feel comfortable You should speak to him about the whole no contact, other than face to face I suggest though.

Maybe hes just that kind of person who is not very good at communication. Leave it alone for a while and see if he says anything. Then if he doesn't try to slyly find out if he wants more.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
