Doctor John H. Watson returned to england from Afghanistan after being shot in the left shoulder. He spends his pension a little unwisely and has to seek a flatmate in order to stay in London.
Luckily, he runs into his old aquaintance Stamford who knows a man who also needs a flatmate. He explains that the man is eccentric and introduces the two in a laboratory in St. Bartholomew's hospital. The two agree to be flatmates and it isn't long before the good doctor gets to aid the only Consulting Detective in the world on one of his many cases.
