Doesn't affect crap for me. In fact, the very fact they call it "El Nino" seems to imply it has more to do with weather patterns than climate change. I think some warming is occurring and because of man.
I KNOW some of the effects will be positive and some negative. What I don't know is what the severity of the effects will be and if how much the positives will outweigh the negatives. And it is not just me who does not know, NO ONE KNOWS.
What I have seen is that we are barely able to show any change at all over the past 18 years. Warmers have said you need longer to find a statistically significant change. This is only partially true.
The length of time needed to find a statistically significant change is determined by the amount of change. If the temp shot up by 5 degrees in 2 years, that would be statistically significant. The smaller the change, the more time.
What I am seeing is not the scary predictions coming true, but a moderate warming, that while needing to be addressed, certainly should not be talked about with gloom and doom. A slightly warmer 2015 or 2016 by some one hundredths of a degree, does not really affect this.
Some good points. You are correct, of course; It is a weather event, nothing to do with climate change. Really, I just wanted to ask a question to see how long before it disappeared.
Less than 2 hours on this occasion. Hopefully it will soon be sorted!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
