God hates gays! It says so in the bible!?

Geez, I hope not. And here is the answer from a Christian: Important to note is verse 33 which leads into this: 33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace as in all the meetings of God's holy people. God didn't want ANYONE talking during the worship service who was not facilitating the service.

Back in the day, the women sat in a different place in the "temple" and were not as scripturally literate as their husbands. Some women had taken to "hollering" over to their husbands seeking clarification about what scripture was being referenced or what did the preacher mean by that or some other such noise, seeking information. Within that context, Paul was advising the "women" not to be disruptive in worship and that if they had any questions about what was being said, they should wait until they get home and seek clarification from their husband.

It was not intended to claim or state that women were never permitted to become pastors or were forever forbidden from speaking in worship. Peace, Bill Edit: I think two things are pretty well documented: One, too many Christians follow the message of Paul over the message of Christ and two, Paul didn't like women. Do ALL Christians feel as Paul did?

Hardly.

This passage has a very easy explanation. The town or Corinthian was messed up, and so were their churches. Back than it was normal for women and men to sit on seperate sides of the church.

Uneducated women would stand up, and shout questions across to their husbands. As you can imagine, this could be very disruptive. Paul told these women to settle down and be quiet during church, and wait until after church to ask their husbands these questions.

It has nothing to do with speaking in church, for Paul did allow women to speak in church. Paul was simply addressing a specific problem the church was having. The letters to Corinthian often are adressing specific problems, which is why we need to understand what was going on in that time.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
