Going to Las Vegas in July. Are capris & t-shirts OK for a 5 star hotel? I usually stay at cheaper places. It's so hot there, and I prefer to dress for comfort.

I'm 51 and although I'm still in pretty good shape, don't really go for the high heel, sexy look anymore. :) Thanks for any advice. Asked by CarlyM 44 months ago Similar questions: Las Vegas July capris t shirts star hotel stay cheaper places Lifestyle > Fashion.

You are in Vegas, Baby . . .

Anything goes. You will see people in gowns and high heels and you will see, standing right next to them, people in dirty jeans and a t-shirt. I'm sure you will have "clean, nice" clothing, but honey, go for comfort. It is hot and there is alot of walking to do.

One thing about Vegas, you may look out your hotel window and say, "Oh, let's go to the Stratosphere, it is just right there . .. ", not realizing that it is a heck-of-a-hike to get there. You just can't judge distance in that part of the world!

You will be fine in your capris and a t-shirt. Just make sure to pack your smile, CarlyM, and have a great time! .

While anything goes in Vegas as far as dress code, you may be overdressed in that attire. Seriously, the West Coast has no dress code.

It depends on what all you plan to do First off, congrats on your fitness level! My husband and I travel quite a bit and I've run into the scenario you describe. I think capris and t-shirts will be fine in most cases.

I will usually "dress up" my capris with a pretty sandal or belt. T-shirts can also be a little dressy if you find the right one to compliment your pants. I go with capris on most of our summer trips.

While I haven't been to Vegas I know there are some world class restaurants in that city. It might not be a bad idea to contact the concierge at the hotel and ask about dress at most of the restaurants. Seems like quite a few restaurants have a more relaxed dress code these days.

The only thing is, I wouldn't want you feeling out of place at some "fine dining" establishment with your capris on and all of the other women in dresses and heels! Anyway, good luck and, if you remember, drop me a note on what you find out.....Las Vegas is on our future itinerary. Ps Don't give up on that "high heel, sexy look" too soon!

;-) Sources: my humble opinion .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
