Good luck trying to cancel an order with Amazon. I placed an order for 2 items and mistakenly ordered 2-day shipping. Amazon won't let me cancel the order because the order is in progress.

Uhmmmm, yea, in order for 30 seconds. The only option I get is that I can return the item once it has been shipped, but before they get it out of the warehouse (and charge me for shipping) I cannot cancel. I guess Jeff Bezos is out for drinks with my money right now.

I also read in the Boston Globe years ago that when Amazon sold their millionth item Jeff Bezos personally delivered the item, some golf clubs, to someone in Massachusetts. There were press photos, etc. The only catch is that the specific set of golf clubs the guy ordered were unavailable and so he got an upgraded set of clubs.... and after the photo session was finished, Bezos took back the clubs. Somehow I feel the character of the man and company that diid that also won't allow you to quickly cancel an order.

I didn't have any such problem. I mis-ordered so I canceled the first order to do it again. I had no problem with either the cancel nor the re-order and got confirmation e-mails on both.

I wonder why they'r picking on you.

3 Darwin, Thank you very much. I called the 1-866-216-1072 ( 1-800 )number you supplied. I got someone immediately.... no press 1 for this, press 2 for that.

Evangeline the support person resolved the shipping issues. Furthermore, I asked her where the 800 number is posted on Amazon. She said that the closest I can get is to request a call from them by going to the HELP page and clicking on the CONTACT US button.

Again thank you. I was very frustrated when I posted the comment originally. My apologies to Amazon and Jeff Bezos.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
