Got new iMac and free OS X Lion...can I install it on Macbook Pro also?

You install OS X on the USB drive. ("a USB"? The port is the USB) "I don't have the OS cd I LION from CNET and wanting to it onto my usb."

You have to call Apple and beg them to give you a download code, because they don't offer it to the public now. Lion is old, no longer sold officially by Apple. You can also use "Mountain Lion" (OS 10.8) if your MacBook Pro is Mid 2007 or newer.

If that's what you have.... -- Go to any Mac that is now running OS 10.6.6 or later. -- Open App Store. -- Buy Mountain Lion, download it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
