Gun crazies Why would our reasonably intelligent Framers want the unregulated mob to be armed to the teeth?

The second amendment was not meant to allow every crazy in the country to be armed with the latest in automatic weapons. It was meant to allow for an armed militia, which is not a mob. Sorry, NRA, you're wrong about this.

The Second Amendment gives us the right to defend ourselves... not go out and attack people just for the hell of it. Don't see how that can be classified as mob rule. Edit: "... there is nothing in it specifically that gives us the right to use firearms to defend ourselves with... " You forget that little part in the amendment that includes enemies who are "foreign and DOMESTIC."

Any criminal that commits a violent act against an American citizen is an enemy to America and a peaceful society.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
