Hey Philip H That's a good idea. Non-violent offenders with misdemeanors or even felony drug possession charges should work a certain amount of hours in the community doing various favors, maybe making a little money at minimum wage to get them re-integrated. I like the idea because the tax burden of prisons is much better spent here.

They break the law in the work house, back to jail. If they work hard and pay their dues by contributing to society, well, a possible expungement could happen but it proves they want out of the system. A solid solution for criminal justice reform.

Edit for update: Unions ruined that too, eh? The reps fill their pockets and waste occurs. What if the work houses were funded in part by wealthy philanthropists?

This surely could be a write off on their tax return. This is a great idea to get the underbelly of society on better footing,, but no...liberals got in the way. Who's complaining about overcrowded prisons but not the cost thereof?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
