This is a question you should have asked your surgeon. Since I'm in the Senior classification, and I know of many who have had knee replacements, altho none have had the new PARTIAL knee replacement, here it goes with my "opinion" again. None of the people I know would be able to run seriously, like in a marathon.

This honestly is something you had best talk to your doctor about. This did not give you a NEW KNEE. It gave you a usable knee--altho with more benefits than the older type..

I had a full knee replaced about 18 months ago. The surgery and the recovery were brutal, can't lie about that. I'm 54 years old and have been running off and on for 30 years.

I really thought this was it, but then about 5 months ago I just went out and gave running a try. Amazing but it didn't hurt. I kept on running and just last week did a 10k race in an hour and 13 minutes.

Granted the time was slow but i'm constantly improving. I'm a female. Sorry but I don't know the name of who manufactured my knee.

Said: 1 Here is a great online discussion forum for those who've had joint replacements:forums.delphiforums.com/onourfeet You will have to sign up to access it, but it's free and the people at the forum are very helpful and are all there because they are going through or have gone through knee or hip replacement. When my husband had his hip replaced I got all kinds of info there.

A new hip hasn't stopped my husband from doing a single thing, if that's any help, but he's not a runner. He rides bikes, motorcycles, rode a zip line recently through the rain forest in Costa Rica, and more. It depends a lot on your fitness level and willingness to work through your therapy and how badly you want to get back to health, in many cases.

Good luck! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
