I have started Christmas shopping. From past experience I have learned that waiting until the last minute never pays off. I assume I will have money for Christmas "later" and that never happens. So, the last few years, I start Christmas shopping early.
I will buy a couple things a week. It is just easier on the wallet when I gradually shop for gifts. The good news is that I am no longer broke by Christmas day.
What I miss about doing all my shopping at once, is we used to bring list and check things off as we shopped. Shopping early, I often forget what I have purchased.
I started in January. Don't think that weird but I use a cardboard box and when I go to a sale or see something that someone would like I put it in the box. I cannot afford to do shopping at one time, so when I start to consider Christmas shopping before Black Friday, I look through the box to see what I have.
I got a complete nail polish and emory board set at CVS that was $5 for 25 cents. Sometimes I don't even know who it's for. Try to develop a system for yourself but it relieves the emotional and financial stress.
Also use Black Friday for the big stuff you want a deal on.
I have to say I think I started in August. Having a husband who's busiest time of the year at work is christmas (supermarket manager (so everything is left to me)) and having a little one - I HAVE to be organised! Also I agree with a previous answer, I don't get to christmas I find I haven't got any money - reduces the need for the Credit Card.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
