I know a lot of people who have had luck with the DAPP. The great thing is that it is guaranteed if you use it completely with no results (the diffuser). But you have to use it til empty to get the refund.
I have also heard great things about Rescue Remedy. Slowly working with your dog by going out to the car then coming back inside and telling your dog it was good for doing that might help. I know that my Bark Buster's Dog trainer had some ideas.Www.barkbusters.com.
I've heard good things about an herbal treatment called Rescue Remedy. I haven't used it myself, but have been in animal rescue for about ten years and a lot of other rescuers I know have used it for anxiety. One of my dogs used to get really, really anxious when we'd take him in the car.
He'd pant and shake so much I almost thought he was having some kind of seizure. We were able to calm him with a tab to a tab and a half of Dramamine - he's about 50 lbs. (Our vet recommended it, or we certainly wouldn't have tried OTC medications on a dog.) You may be able to use a combination of sedative/calming supplement to condition the dog not to be so anxious.
As an example, after Hurricane Katrina, the dogs that came into the sanctuary where I was were a mess. The new arrivals would bark and howl all night. We started giving a few of the really anxious ones a light sedative BEFORE things started winding down for the evening.
After a few nights, they stopped associating that feeling of anxiety with nightfall and they were eventually able to calm themselves on their own. I am not a vet or a behaviorist, these are just some experiences I've had. You might want to speak with your vet or find a certified pet trainer through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (link below).
Good luck!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
