Yes, I do think that gold will become the new reserve currency. However, we should remember that gold has always been the reserve currency, thus the phrase "A gold standard. " But in the past 100 years, many countries have gotten away from the gold standard, which means that their paper currency is in fact meaningless.
Consider, for instance, the Reichmarks (Nazi dollars) and Confederacy Dollars which are just paper, nothing more. Gold will always be a valuable substance since it is a natural resource and cannot be produced. With a limited supply and a high demand, the value is always high.As demand rises, so will the value of the gold.
The whole theory behind using gold is that it is free from political manipulation. But recent history has show that gold has been, and is being manipulated, by politicians to placate the public.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
