Has the Internet changed how we socialise and down graded our interpersonal skills?

For some, yes. I would say breaking up by sending a text message is a clear example of degradation of interpersonal skills.

I use the net to obtain information and make a little money on the side. I seldom do chats and doesn't spend a lot of time in social networks.

I still like talking to my friends and meeting people face to face.

There's one aspect of the web I kinda like, it's now a lot easier to connect with friends and relatives who are away.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
