I've seen the Green Mile. I thought it was an excellent movie. I'm a big Stephen King fan anyway. It needed the 2 box set you got because the length of the movie is really important.
They do a good job of getting the characters, good and bad introduced and pull you in. I don't want to give too much away but Tom Hanks is excellent in this movie. I like him a lot too.
If you ever saw Shawshank Redemption, you'll probably like The Green Mile. I think it's one of the BEST prison movies made to date. Sources: my opinion .
I haven't seen all of them but I absolutely LOVED the Green Mile. Tom Hanks did an amazing job. I don't remember the name of the black guy who played the part of the prisoner who was wrongly accused of raping those little girls.
He also did a heck of a job. I don't much care for Sly Stallone but Anotonio Bandaras, while not the best actor int he world, is just plain old HOT. I could watch him seven days a week.
He made a movie with Jane Fonda (can't remember the name of it) that would curl your toes in the most positive ways...... Enemy of the State was excellent too. Didn't see Face Off but I think I'll try to find it on DVD. It sounds good and the cast is terrific..
Out of the four... I saw the "Green Mile". It was real good. As for the others, I would watch FaceOff...... I mean, come on ~ John & Nic in the same movie......hot!
Which ever you do first, ENJOY! .
Assassins" and "Face Off" were not so good, "Assassins" being the stinker of the bunch. I didn't mind the premise so much, but the resolution and the "mystery" revealed were very weak. "Face Off" is an early John Woo movie, and as such, has the action good, and the story isn't so bad.
Nicholas Cage is the bad guy, which works. The problem is, again, the resolution. John Travolta (plot spoiler!) gets his face back after the doctor had been killed by Cage.
The Green Mile is considered a very good movie, and it's a classic example of the "magic negro" conceit common in many movies (Legend of Bagger Vance, etc. ) I think Enemy of the State is the best one of the four merely because it is prescient: much of that technology exists. And around a very good action flick with Will Smith, you'll see what our government really can do to track people, or a person. When you realize that this is not fiction (like I Robot was), it takes on a whole, new, creepy sense to it.
Enjoy!.
You did good for a dollar. I've seen all 4 and they were all good. At least I liked them..
I have seen them all. Green mile is excellent (if you have read the book its stayed very close to the storyline), Enemy of the State is pretty good and will make you think about Big Brother watching, Faceoff wasn't too bad (John Travolta and Nick Cage may have over played there parts a little bit, and the concept is not believable, but if you can handle those two things it was actually not a bad movie - action ok), Assassins not worth your time even with Sly and Antonio to look at.
" "Name these movies............................................................" "I like animating, but I need a good animation program. " "anyone know any good movies out?
I like animating, but I need a good animation program.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
