Generally, the county jails are worse than the prisons, so the choice seems obvious to me.
2 County means nothing. The court can send your friend to any prison in the entire state of Texas.

3 In all truth, He would probably get on a work release program or a job at the jail, with a 1 day for each day served and be out in 6 mos or better if his ":crime" was not too offensive. The jails are pretty well supervised and have friendlier guards for the most part.

4 After noticing you are in Williamson county, I would talk with my attorney and the Chaplain at the jail. Make sure they give good time. In North Texas you can count on it.
But Williamson is known for "other" things .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
