I think that if the leader brought my country to the positions of the number one in the Arab world, if the population under his rule grew from hardly 40 mln people to over 80 mln in just 30 years, and if I knew that those who would come instead of him would be the guys from the Muslim brotherhood the result of whose "wise islamic rule" all the world can see in Gaza and who would drag my country into another devastating war whose only goal will be "to kill the Jews"(and the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood were quite frank about this in the last four days), I should support the current leader with both hands even if he decided to pass the leadership to his mother- in-law. When I said that Mubarak is a lesser evil, I meant he is a lesser evil for you Arabs. If Muslim Brotherhood comes to power in Egypt, you will in two years speak about Mubarak with the tears in your eyes and will call him "our blessed leader" and "father of the Egyptian nation".
Remember well what I´ve told you now, and in two years, if you are an honest person, don´t forget to tell me: Sorry Boris, I was very stupid.
All Israeli leaders since 1948 are Hosni-like criminals my friend. This so called state was run by the same fanatics ever since its establishment who share the very same goal which is to wipe Palestine and the Palestinians off the map, here: http://lawrenceofcyberia.blogs.com/photo... These people still believe in the Jew-only democracy I'm afraid. BTW, the situation in Egypt is different than in Israel.
If Israeli leaders started oppressing its people in the way Arab dictators do, then there would hardly be any Jews left there, and 0 new immigrants. Which means their colonial project will come to an end.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
