I am sorry to hear that. I hope you can find a better job. But if you can't, you can try to be a freelance writer.As for standing up for my principles, I can't remember exactly something I've done and regret because of a principles.
I don't know if I ever will regret my decision to stand up on my principle at the cost of my financial need, each situation is different and each person is different. Some people will and some people won't. But I know that if you keep that job, you'll be miserable and maybe you'd look back and regret that you didn't stand up for your principles.
I've made a decision I regreted, but at that time, I thought it was the best. We can't know the future, so mostly we just make our choices half blind. I think whatever decision we make, we must move forward and not dwelling on regrets.
I have done some things that I look back on and know they weren't the best course of action but I never regret my actions. I just look forward and think what I can do to improve it from here. If I was in your position I would be looking to State and Federsal aid, Obama is supposed to have a program to freeze mortgages.
You also have to think about taking any job out there even if it is what you consider to be beneath you. In your position you might need a day job and a night job and even a weekend job as menial tasks don't require much thought and can be done on little sleep. Just pull yourself out of the hole first.
Most people see the problem as a whole and that is why they can never get through it. I break everything down into little parts and then accomplish each part as a step towards the intended goal. These little wins makes the whole task easier.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
