This happened only a few months ago and things still occur regularly in our apartment. Our baby woke up at 3:00 (as usual) for his pre-pre-breakfast (at the time he was only about 4 months old) and we had just moved into this new apartment. My wife went upstairs before me to get him changed while I got his botttle ready. As I was walking up the stairs with his bottle, I VERY clearly heard a woman say, "My, what a lovely baby boy.
" I thought it was my wife, so I start saying, "I know! Isn't he the greatest? I love him too!
We're so lucky to have such a great kid! " When I turned the corner into his room, Krissy asks me who I was talking to."Didn't you just say, 'My, what a lovely baby boy? '" She shook her head and told me she hadn't said a word since she got upstairs.
I told her what I heard and she thought I was joking. I know what I heard and the weirdest thing is how clear it was. I'm pretty sure there's a presence in our place, tho I'm pretty sure she's kind.
Nothing bad happens, or anything scary, but many times, you'll see movement just outside of your line of sight. In fact once, I was cooking dinner and I thought my wife had walked up to the doorway; I thought it was her so strongly, I started talking to her. When she didn't answer, I looked up - and nothing was there tho I was SURE that someone was standing there watching me cooking. My son even sees things regularly - he looks past me, sometimes even around me, and smiles at something I can't see - and I'm pretty sure he's smiling at the presence. It's cool - she seems very nice, and we all get along pretty well.
It's actually kind of fun!
You can read one of my paranormal experiences here: mahalo.com/answers/paranormal-experience... Another one, more recent than the one above is written below. I had just moved in with my now husband. One night I woke up in the middle of the night.
That particular night I had fallen asleep turned away from him, facing the wall. He had fallen asleep on his back. We had read later that being on your back is the most vulnerable state, this many be true, but you can be vulnerable other times as well, it happened to me once while I was mostly sitting up.
I woke up to this heavy feeling, I now understand to be a presence. I wasn’t sure what it was as it was kind of familiar, but familiar from such a long time ago, that I couldn’t place it. After a minute I just gave up, kind of mentally shook myself and decided it was nothing to worry about and not enough to wake my husband up for.
I hadn’t gotten the chance to fall asleep yet, and not 5 minutes later, he sat up with a start. I asked him what was wrong. He told me (not in these words) that he had just been visited by a sitting ghost.
Immediately I knew what that feeling I had was. (Goosebumps) He told me that the ghost didn’t have a shape, but its form was reaching towards me, as if it was trying to sit on both of us, or it was on its way to me (or something…again, theory). As I sit here, writing about this, I wonder why I did wake up this time and the time I had written about earlier.Do our bodies have this instinct of fear, or know that something is going to happen that it alerts us?
Then our brain, isn’t ‘smart’ enough to decipher it? Hmmm…In another life, I must have been some kind of scientist. :o).

Yes, several, of differing kinds of strangeness ... I've got used to the fact that there's a benign presence sitting on my shoulder that says 'Go into that bookshop and you'll find the book you've been looking for,' or 'If you go left rather than right you'll meet the person you need to see,' and sometimes wakes me up in the night with the imperative to phone my friend in New Zealand when he's been alone and hit a bad patch. I just believe it now. I've also had the experience of going to bed worried about some things that had happened during the day (in New Zealand) and feeling the room fill up with presences - that's all I can say - and they talked to me, saying things I wouldn't have thought of; and then they told me to switch on the radio and they'd just started playing Schoenberg's Verklarte Nacht, which one of my precious pieces of music and also happened to be the first piece of music that I had raved about with my then beloved.
Also in South Africa I went to see a sangoma (witch doctor to some people) and - somewhat shyly - asked him to bring back a lover - who returned at the next available moment. And I've had many experiences of the power of prayer - far more often, of course, when praying for someone else.
I saw something fly that was unidentified. I saw my one and only UFO during my sophomore year of high school. One day I am taking the long walk up the hill to the bus stop.
Up ahead I see the same mountains I always see except there is a bright circular light flying above them. I stopped and stared. It didn't look like a plane or a helicopter.
It was bright like the sun. It wasn't a falling meteor or space garbage. It was moving too slow for that.
It was too fast to be a blimp. Plus, it was heading down at an angle behind one of the mountains. I stood and stared at the "whatever" until it disappeared behind a mountain.
Of course then my neighbor picked just that moment to show up. I turn when I hear him. "Did you see that?
" I asked. "See what? " he responded.
"Never mind. " I think I am the only person I know of that saw a UFO during the day. Weird huh?
I think the little green guys had their space clocks off or something.
Out there Yes, my house is over 50 years old and has been in my family for 50 years, my grandmother lived here in my house and everynow and then I see her wandering around making sure things are in place. My father also visits me, I have several others I'm not sure who they are because they are not sure if they want to come out or not. But I am not afraid.
I photographed a ghost once.... No lie. It was right there for anyone to see... Turns out, it was dust on the lens... I honestly do not believe that ANYONE has EVER had a paranormal experience. I believe that there is an explanation for everything, and that some people, in relating their experiences or stories, either accidentally (or purposely) forget details and important items that would lead them to understand what the experience truly was, or they simply cannot think of some other explanation, so they chalk it up to the unexplained and supernatural.
Ghosts can typically be explained by overactive imaginations combined with fear. UFOs - ever wonder why they only abduct hill billies from back water areas, and not Professors of Universities? Besides, just because YOU cant ID it doesn't mean its not some experimental aircraft the Govt is flying around... Or, even some more mundane explanation, such as a weather balloon.
I have occasional visits from dead relatives My mom, who passed away 3 years ago, still lets her presence be known. We had bought her a digital alarm clock with the big numbers..which she loved. After she passed, I put the clock by the TV in the living room.
I made sure that the alarm was 'off'... But, every so often, the alarm goes off at midnight. One time...a bunch of us had been baking and frosting cupcakes to be taken to the Katrina victims and volunteers. We had packaged them in those containers that store cakes come in...with the snap-on flimsy plastic covers.
I had stacked the packages on the breakfast bar and turned in for the night. At midnight, the darned alarm clock went off. Just as I rounded the corner to turn it off...I spotted our 16 pound cat, Pumpkin, just ready to climb atop the cupcakes.
Thanks, mom That's where my grampa had lived. Spooky! Both my mom and grandma were somewhat psychic...knew things before they happened...so I guess it's just in my genes to be open to spirits that want to communicate.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
