Have you ever had any problem at an Emergency Room at a hospital? Do you think they need some sort rules that they need to see patients with?

Doctors and nurses already are in danger of losing their licences and of being sued if they screw up. I don't think we need to fine them on top of that. I do think we need to give people an incentive to get treated before things become emergencies, though.

Maybe fining patients who go to the ER when it is not an emergency, would be more like it. They just make all the true emergency patients have to wait longer to be seen. I am only trained in first aid, but my idea of an emergency is: unconsciousness life threatening bleeding debilitating injury Heart attack symptoms choking Fever in an infant younger than a year old Fever of more than 103 F in anyone else seizure that doesn't stop vomiting that doesn't stop anything else that is life threatening Pretty much everything else can wait until morning walk-in hours, IMO.

Yes when riding my bike I had a women open a car door into traffic and the end of the door caught my knee. It was a good thing I had crash bars or I would have been hurt worse. Anyway I get to the emergency room and they take X-rays and have me on a bed.

About an hour later someone comes in and hangs my film on the light on the wall. I sat there another hour and a half waiting. I finally got up and grabbed a Doctor and told him to come into the room.

He told me he had other patients and I told him I didn't care if they were shot it's my turn and I closed the door behind him. He took a look at the pictures and told me no permanent damage and stay off it for a few days and wrote a presrciption. I left after all that waiting and they had the nerve to send me a survey asking my opinion of their services.

I don't think I've ever been to the ER and not waited at least 3 hours (though usually that wait is on the doctor. ) I do think yes there should be some sort of time frame they can keep you waiting. For instance once I had seen the doctor, and was waiting to be discharged and waited another 4 hours.4 hours to get a piece of paper saying my son and I could leave.

We were there for my son who had gotten into peanuts and was all fever and puffy. They gave him some meds and told me to take him home to rest.. and then made me sit there 8 months pregnancy with a whiny toddler for 4 hours. To say the least the review form they sent me was not positive.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
