I haven't but I my husband has. He has a hyphenated last name.. he holds his mother and his father's last name because he was the last male heir on his mothers side. When we went to leave for Germany it took him 6 months to get a passport because his driver's license didn't have the hyphenated name but his birth certificate did.
We had t get witness statements and like 5 forms of ID. Now he has a legal alias.
Fortunately I haven't. However, if you don't have a couple of pieces of ID on you, it can be difficult in certain situations. I've been lucky to always have what I needed when I needed it.
Also, the passport trumps all, which is a nice and convenient way to avoid confusion.
I haven't, but it would be wise for one to stay involve with their own credit history; past, present, and future.
Yes, when I was in Italy I was stopped by the Carabiniere because I had seen a bad street fight. I had no other ID on me and the Hotel I was staying at was holding my passport. They wanted to bring me in until I told them the Hotel is only right around the corner.
Not that I can remember. I carry my driver's license everywhere I go. And quite honestly if someone wanted to steal my identity for my finances and credit, they can have it.
Perhaps they'll have better luck with it than I do! Lol Kidding....I just couldn't help myself. I know that many people have been faced with the effects of a stolen identity.
Fortunately there are many ways to protect yourself. I personally bank with a company that places your photo on your debit card. There's no doubt you are the cardholder, and this prevents someone from presenting it for payment if they stole it.
Also there are countless credit monitoring services available that will alert you if there is any detected fraud or suspicion of such on your credit. As for actually stealing my identity, as in my name and my life? I'm not sure that it's all that enviable. My family and my friends are what I have and cherish and they know me too well to be fooled by an imposter.
I don't have a lavish home, fancy cars, and unlimited bankroll. So I can't say that I think anyone would want to steal my overdue bills, so-so rental, and my car that isn't worth what I still owe.
Ah, the insomniac's plight: waking up with a hangover without having had a drop to drink. A poor night's sleep can have you starting your day feeling drained before your feet even hit the floor.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
