G'day Maggieray Thank you for your question. Busy cooks has some tips and a recipe for pie crust. This video from Howdini could be of help as well.Regards.
Pie crusts are very simple to make as they require very few basic ingredients that can be found in any kitchen. Depending upon the recipe, they typically consist of a lot of butter and flour. Recipes for them are all over the Internet and in nearly every cookbook for bakers.
The most difficult part of making a pie crust is rolling out into the appropriate round shape for your tin and making sure you have enough dough for the type of pie you are baking. Other than that, it's easy as pie (sorry for the obnoxious pun, I couldn't resist). Though making a pie crust from scratch isn't very difficult, it is one more step in the process of baking a pie that really only creates extra work.
Honestly, the difference between what you'd buy in the market verses what you'd make in your own kitchen is nearly impossible to tell the difference. What people will taste is the filling and what they will see depends on how you design the top. So unless you're a tried & true purist, I think the extra effort of making crust from scratch isn't worth it.In any case, here's a recipe link for the standard crust: simplyrecipes.com/recipes/perfect_pie_crust.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
