I've never purposely bought clothing that was too small. I have accidently bought the wrong size and then didn't take it back to exchange it in the hope that I might fit it someday. I also have a closet full of clothes ranging from the biggest size I've been down to the smallest so whatever I weigh I can find something to wear.LOL.
I used to do this when I was younger and I was a yo yo. It sort of worked. I would go on a diet and fit into my "skinny clothes" for awhile, and then in a few weeks I wouldn't fit in them anymore.
A few weeks later I would be back on the diet. I have decided in my wise old age that diets are a waste of time because you just gain the weight right back. It is far better to just eat sensibly all the time.
I've never actually bought clothes that were purposefully too small for me, but I've held onto items of clothing that used to fit but now don't quite. The hope is that if I fit into them once, perhaps I can lose the weight and fit into them again. And they're nice clothes. As for how well it's worked?
Somewhat. There are some things I can wear now that I wouldn't have been able to two years ago (I've lost about 10 pounds). Others are just BARELY too tight.
And then, sadly, there are some that still don't fit. Another 20 pounds or so stand in my way there. Maybe later.
I have never purchased them too small, that to me is setting myself up for failure. But I have held onto clothing, in the hopes of fitting into them again. But as I get older, I become more comfortable with myself..and blame the odd sizing on the manufacturers, not my love of food!
I'm way to cheap to buy something that doesn't fit, I'm actually too cheap to buy clothing lol it just dawned on me in 3 years I've bought one skirt... and it was a tye die one for my halloween costume. I look at lots of stuff and then the price and go psh.. it's cool but not that cool and walk away. I do have all my clothing from before I got pregnant that doesn't fit still, as I don't think I'll fit into them, I will damn it.
Yup. If there was an item of clothing I really liked I have bought it several times and promised myself to lose weight. Bad idea though so now I didn't do it anymore. My weight and size tends to be constant no matter how hard I try (well, to be fair, I don't try very hard.
Lol). A week ago, I started to lose a little bit of weight because I did not have an appetite. But I seem to regain it in alarming speed again, although I do not change my eating habit or eat many junk food.
I have seen so many bride borrow or spend money they or their parents should never have spent. Our daughter is 22 and is working hard to start her business and save for a house, so marriage is not a priority right now. Heavy pruning, yes - but so far not out and out shaving.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
