Have you joined the Mahalo Answers Kiva Team?

I think most members don't know we have a Kiva team. I myself had not heard about it until a few months back. This question will surely bring in new members.

I'm in need of money myself, so I don't think I will be able to make any donations this month. But I promise I will after my situation gets better. Oh and Jeff when do you sleep?

Your on 24/7! You go from Mahalo to Facebook to twitter. That's good for us, but not YOU!

Or your just good at making the illusion of always being on here?

I'm in already though I have yet to make a donation. PayPal issues. However soon I will be doing so resolution is on the horizon.

This is such a great idea when @robbrown mentioned it as a question back in May I joined and have been looking forward to participating more. @jeffhoard now would be a great time to throw my endorsement behind any change making it a more direct transaction between Mahalo and Kiva, possibly routing around PayPal and being able to go directly to Kiva, just my 2 cents.

I've been a member since February - I think Dr. Matt or Rob Brown convinced me to do this. For those of you on the fence, I started out with a very small loan - $25 - to a lady in Peru. She has already paid back 84% of the loan.

When time and money permits, I'll increase the amount I contribute to Kiva. Payback? It's more a good deed thing than a "make cash" thing, and I get to select to whom and where my money will go.

I'm finding that aspect makes a difference to me. Typical charities don't allow me to "micro-manage" my funds, and its nice to be able to target my efforts. And the Mahalo Answers team has a gorgeous logo...

Thanks for the reminder @jeffhoard. I meant to sign up earlier when I first heard about it from @robbrown but forgot to. I joined just now.

Thanks buddy for sharing this site. I am going to join this.

I'm glad to see you promoting Kiva. Do you like that they now make loans to people in the US? I think that it's a good idea.It will help reassure people that those who need help here can get it.

I had no clue we had a Kiva team - I know the question here has closed, but I did go sign up! kiva.org/lender/michelledevon.

Just wondering how it works (Im a pessimist I don't trust no one! ).

I already do this with some of the people at work. I love this program.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question. I'm in already though I have yet to make a donation.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
