I have a Mirena IUD and I keep feeling a fluttering in my uterus area, similar to what I felt when I was pregnant with my son. Maybe it's a just a muscle spasm, but I'm curious to know if anyone has any actual experience being pregnant with the Mirena IUD. I haven't had a period in months, but apparently that's normal with this IUD Asked by Alexa12 36 months ago Similar questions: pregnant Mirena IUD birth control Health > Reproduction.

I have a Mirena IUD and I, too, felt fluttering for the first few months. Alexa, During my first few months using Mirena, I had some discomfort as well. My doctor said that sometimes women may need proper adjustment initially or within the first few URL1 major complaint, at first, was the cramping around the time I would ovulate.
This lessened after a few months and my periods became lighter but unfortunately longer. My husband and I are sexually active on a daily basis (even though my sex drive has diminished some since Mirena) and have had no incidents with pregnancy. I would advise you to call your doctor with any questions or concerns about your health.
Good Luck, ;-) Video youtube.com/watch?v=eL1fibjPMKk Video on IUDs, including pregnancy concerns.
1 Bizarrely, I think this an actual sincere question. Forgive me for being stunned. We have a troll who drops in every few days to give a few details of "her" menstrual period and then asks if "she's" pregnant.(I put "her" in quotes because I'm fairly certain only a man would engage in that kind of trolling.)According to their web site, Mirena is 99.8% effective, which means there is a possibility of pregnancy, but it's unlikely.
The lack of a period is entirely normal. The odds are much more likely that it's just a muscle spasm. There's also a long-shot chance that it could be a cyst or other issue, so if you feel it again you should definitely see a doctor.
But I'm afraid I don't know anybody who uses Mirena, so I can't answer your question from direct experience. If it happens again, you should definitely take a pregnancy test and visit your doctor, because it would not be a good thing to have the Mirena in place during a pregnancy..

2 It's so easy to take a home pregnancy test these days - I would do that immediately.

3 I think this is sincere as well. I have Mirena. I, too, felt the same fluttering and do occasionally still after almost 2 years with it.
Not pregnant. I really am not liking Mirena too much and really hated it the first 4 months. I felt pregnant and super moody.
I am talking sore, swollen breasts, fatigue, irritability...many of the tell tale pregnancy signs. Lets not forget super painful "happy fun time with the hubby". I went back to the gyno..she said it was normal and that it would suck for a bit but things would get better.
After all the side effects, I am thinking the best form of birth control for a married couple who already have all the kids they want is a vasectomy. I would go to the doc just to make sure things are still good to go. Funny thing about Mirena..from my experience and one of my friends here who has it...um... a bit too much activity..wink wink...can cause it to become dislodged.
The silk string can get pulled causing some pain. You have to go in right away to get it put back where it belongs. BTW....FYI...there is a class action suit going on by some women who have had some really bad issues with it.
I am going to be having mine removed as soon as the hubby goes to the vet and gets nuetered. If he doesnt, then I will most likely be better off going in to get my tubes tied. mirenaclassaction.com/there is more info out there about it, you just have to look for it .

4 Pam you remember her. LOL, last time she was here, name was Brittany Nicole, I busted her.. Im happy someone else remembers her... I miss avvoo :(IUD caused many problems for women, they adhered to the uterus, they cause excessive bleeding, and pain, they went out of style in the 70's, I was surprised when they brought them back, not as a IUD but as a IUC. It still should be banned.. its evil to torture women, just to prevent pregnancy, I suggest a vasectomy for the husband, but store sperm at a sperm bank in case they want more kids.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
