I agree up to a point. What the survey doesn't mention is class perspective. I'm sure there are some bright people on the right who adhere to a right wing perspective because it's in their interests.
Working class right wingers have no such excuse. When you see some of the posts on here from the fascist movement, however, it certainly confirms that report. The neo nazi BNP, for example, have no analysis beyond the colour of someones skin.
Fuhrer Nick and others who have attended elite institutions such as Oxford and Cambridge had privileged backgrounds so were able to into these uni's. Attaining a degree isn't as hard as some may think. Just turn up most of the time and you'll get your degree.
Getting a degree is no indication of intelligence. Just look at te buffoon Boris Johnson! How many of these muppets have any practical skills?
It confirms what most educated people already knew. Incidentally, this research is not a survey, although it includes survey research. It is an in-depth study.
The results also show a link between low intelligence, right wing beliefs, and racism. It's important to keep the cause and effect model here clear. The study is not suggesting people with low IQs are necessarily right-wing bigots.
Many are not. The results show only that persons who are extremely conservative/bigoted typically have, on average, lower intellectual capacity than those who don't share those political views.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
