Pretty much everything from Gilroy north is a commuter town of San Francisco. Californians are willing to accept an hour drive to get to work.
Look north where you can ride the ferry. That works for some people. Or change the box.
Find a really small place that is int eh city. I did that and lived one stop away from my wife's work and two away from my job in DC area. But we had a very small apartment.
I don't mind living in a small apartment, I am looking for a very small room that is extremely cheap in a commuter town, that way I would save money because instesd of living in a box in the city I would live in a box in a suburb, I don't mind the size of the place I'm looking for cheap, cheap rent, a very small studio apartment. The city living costs extend a long way out around the city. My nephew has a fairly cheap apartment for that part of California - actually, he lives in San Fran - in the mission district. S rent is only 1800 a month for a one bedroom. To get a cheaper place in a safe neighborhood, you are looking at a two hour one way commute.
I don't mind having a two hour or more commute as long as the rent is cheap. I also want to live in a town that tolerates medicinal marijuana use(I've heard some towns and counties are more leniant than others) and I want to live in a town that has a service like metrolink that allows you to commute without a car. Also the safety of the town doesn't matter as long as it has good parts, and again I'm looking for the cheapest rent possible.

Well, I think the best way to start is to goggle mass transit in the SF area, and look at the stations they have. You have a lot of needs/wants to be met. Good luck with that.
Electric planning to move its 115 yr. Old X-ray division from Wisc.. to Beijing? "Immigrants are planning huge May 1st marches for reform.
Don't you think this is going to backfire on them? "Should I remodel/finish my basement or just move to a bigger house? "I am planning a financial capital campaign kick off event for 130 people.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
