I apologize for the delay in answering your question. I am sorry to hear you have suffered a stroke but relieved to hear that you only have a slight weakness on your left side.
Playing the piano is one of the best things you can do to regain strenght in your hand, fingers and even the arm area. I have taught many people piano who have had strokes that have impaired the body and not only has it been successful in regaining strenght, but this experience is both fun and rewarding.
I suggest you interview teachers to make sure the one that works with you is patient, caring, experienced and positive.
I am interested in your experience and would like you to update me on how you are progressing.

Thank you for contacting me and I wish you recovery and the very best.
It seems like it is entirely possible for the brain to remap muscle movement after a stroke, and that playing an instrument is one of the best rehab tools for achieving this. Have a look at these links for instance.
Um I haven't had a stroke but I play piano and when I play I feel like a whole new person. If you really loved playing piano when you were younger then you shouldn't let this stop you. I here playing a musical instrument is a really good way of getting over illnesses of grievenses coz it takes your mind off other things.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
