You can't hide them, but you can delete them.

You can always delete your comments... If your worried the person who you are having the debate with won't see the comments then, it will come up in there email.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
