If all voters were intelligent and well informed it would be stupid. Since many voters are not, it very well may be an effective technique. Much of the Republican campaign against Hillary Clinton is based on FUD.
(FUD is short for fear, uncertainty and doubt.) Republicans want to portray her as devious and untrustworthy. They try to call every potential controversy a "scandal" such as "the Benghazi scandal," the "Whitewater scandal," etc. FUD is nothing new in American politics. In the past we have had a candidate note that his opponent was a "practicing heterosexual" or a "thespian.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
