Honestly, are guys intimidated by girls that are smarter than them?

Yes for two reasons: 1) The sometimes true phrase "If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is"(I am sure you really are hot w/an awesome personality, just saying), and 2) It is intimidating to face possible rejection, especially if it is from such a rare and exceptional lady such as yourself. Now, some guys will muster the courage to fight this fear, but it is going to mean that the ditsy and sleazy girls will receive more approaches and attention even though you are better and on more guy's mind. Try making the first move or at least appearing friendly and dispelling any possible high maintenance vibes.

It's absolutely true. People who have a lot of good qualities usually want partners with equally good, or better, qualities. Lots of men would feel anxious about trying to live up to those expectations.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
