House cats attack birds rodents, & even small dogs, but not humans why is that? Why don't they attack people usually?

Cats have the instinct to hunt for food. Their preference is for small prey, in other words, prey that they can kill and eat. Most animals don't attack prey they can't handle.So we're way too big for cats to hunt.

However, the added twist is that cats and dogs are domesticated animals. They have been with man for at least 10,000 years. Man has bred into the instinct not to attack us.

There is also the theory that dogs and cats prefer to be with man. That perhaps they like our smell, or the fact that we feed them and take care of them. There is an Indian legend that in the past animals and humans could talk to each other an lived in harmony.

There was a big disaster, and the earth opened up. Man was on one side of the opening chasm. Animals were on the other side of the opening chasm.

Dogs (the Indians didn't have cats) leaped over the chasm to be with man. It's a nice story that illustrated the relationship.

Because humans are far, far, far too big. There's no way it could win such a fight. Predators don't like fair fights.

This isn't about honor; it's about dinner. A cat will attack a human to defend itself, just like it would attack a dog or other creature it viewed as a threat. But it starts by hissing and spitting first, because it would much rather not right.

Even if it wins, it knows the fight will not go well for it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
