WAXXXON! I am an eyebrow Waxing junkie, My addiction started about 3 years ago, whe an over zealous Spa attendant threw her sales pitch to me as I was waiting for Massage services. She was so sure I'd "LOVE" the feeling of a freshly waxed brow.... well she was right!
I wax my eyebrow area everytime I get my hair cut and everytime and always will, but...it hurts like HELL! Don't let them fool you, just because you KNOW it's coming, doesn't make it any less painful! BUT, it certainly makes me think twice about the "larger, more tender" areas...Just don't think I can go there.
I'll stick with a razor for now..
I think it depends on the person I think it depends on how sensitive you are and how you handle pain. The first time might hurt worse then the fifteenth time. Also how much you're ripping out.My eyebrows don't really hurt they just sting for a second and thats it.
Other parts like bikini or legs hurt more cause its more hair...and more sensitive. And I think after a while you get use to how it feels. I think if you're trying it for the first time ...try a small area noone will notice.
If it hurts too bad don't do it. If you think you can handle it go ahead and do it. Sources: opinion .
Omg yes. I waxed for the first time before my honeymoon in Tahiti so I wouldn't have to deal with shaving and razor burn and all that fun stuff... Wow, it hurt. I even took 3 Advil about 45 min before hand (I was told that would help dull the pain.
If that was "dulled" pain, wow. I don't want to know full-on pain). I got the whole shebang - underarms, bikini, and full leg.It hurt most in the bikini area, especially the part under your belly button and in the "rear" part... Also hurt like a mofo around the ankles.
Ouch. And I kept doing it for another 4 or 5 times after that, just because I'm insane (j/k, I really liked the smoothness - never could get that with shaving, I have thick, dark hair and it was just great having smooth legs! So the pain was worth it).
Although, then I found laser hair removal. What an amazing thing! Costs a bit (for the same areas as above, it's about $650 per treatment for me) - but you only need 5-6 treatments over the course of a year, and then never again for life!
I just had my 5th treatment, and I am soo happy with it. Initially, it hurt as bad as waxing, but as you have less hair, it hurts less. The last time I didn't even yelp.
And there are no in-grown hairs, which was my biggest problem with waxing. So if you can afford it, and find a good, reputable laser hair removal place, I'd pick that. Oh, but you need pale skin and dark hair for best results (perfect for me, of central European descent).
Never ever having to shave again? Worth every penny. alitelaser.com/ in Austin, TX is where I go, just make sure to put me (Veronica G) down as a referral as I get a discount off my next treatment.
;) They are very nice, and have the latest and greatest in technology, better than most other places around here, and offer competetive prices. Sources: personal pain .
Too Much Pain For Me When I tried waxing my legs, I made a mess, and the pain itself was torture, plus I somehow managed to yank some skin off my leg while doing it, and that was the worst pain I had ever felt. On a scale from 1 - 10, 10 being excruciating pain, I'd say it was about a 10. I sure learned my lesson to never do it again.

It hurts as bad as a large band-aid being ripped off. Here are some tips:Waxing Pain -- Tips for Withstanding Waxing DiscomfortBy Ben JohnsonFirst, the bad news: waxing hurts. Think of it as having a large Band-Aid ripped off.
How much it hurts is largely attributable to an individual’s pain threshold. But, any way you slice it, pulling hairs out from the follicle smarts. The good news is there are a lot of things you can do to minimize waxing discomfort.
The most important step is to find an experienced, well-trained waxer. A gifted professional will make the procedure as quick and painless as possible. They’ll know tricks to keep you comfortable.
Waxing LegsIf they do a lot of waxing they’re also more likely to use better, more expensive products, like Bombshell Wax, which includes essential oils and buffering ingredients to make waxing faster, easier, safer and more comfortable. Seek referrals from friends who wax, as this is no time to let your fingers do the walking in the Yellow Pages. Now that you’ve found a reputable waxer and have made an appointment there are a few things you can and should do beforehand.
Avoid caffeine, nicotine and sugar for at least two hours prior to treatment as these will increase your sensitivity. Consider taking aspirin, Tylenol, Advil or some other over-the-counter analgesic. Relax and reduce any sources of stress in your life.
Try to schedule treatment when you're most likely to be relaxed. Give yourself time to get to your appointment. Some people find a pre-wax glass of wine or a cocktail helps them to relax and dulls the pain.
When you’re in the room with your waxer communicate any fears or anxieties. Talking through the procedure often helps. Wear loose clothing and take off anything constricting or remotely discomfiting.
Ask for a fan if it’s stuffy or hot. Ask for more heat if it’s chilly. Now that you’re ready to be waxed make sure your waxer applies pressure to or rubs the area that has just been waxed.
A good waxer will know this without being told. In addition, there are lots of things you can do to take your mind away from any pain or discomfort your body might be experiencing. Nothing works for everybody but you might experiment with one or more of these techniques: * Hold a towel or stuffed animal to squeeze * Suck on mints or hard candy or chew gum * Focus on why you’re there and the end result of your efforts * Use breathing and visualization (think Lamaze) strategies to disassociate yourself from the procedure and any discomfort * Bring a friend for support and distracting chit chat * Arrange for a foot massage or reflexology during treatmentRemember, the first waxing is always the most difficult.
Consistent waxing of a body area will reduce the amount of hair that grows in that spot and will make remaining hairs easier to remove. Subsequent waxings will get progressively easier and less painful. Sources: http://www.consumerhealthdigest.com/waxing.htm .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
