How can an animal be both a predator and a prey?

Prey is that which predators hunt, kill and eat. A snake eats mice, therefore it is a predator but an eagle eats snakes, therefore the snake is now a prey.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
