How can Christians be against gay marriage if the bible requires it for Christians?

Primitive religion has always lagged behind the improvement in moral attitudes and that is what these people are doing to Christianity – making it primitive! There were people who opposed the abolition of slavery, emancipation for women, the banning of discrimination of women, the attempts to eradicate racism and now the need to eradicate homophobia! Taking one sin to indulge in intolerance, hatred, bigotry, homophobia and persecution will never be acceptable in the eyes of God!

England's Archbishop of Canterbury has said that Christianity is now known for it's hatreds and not about god!

Interesting to see you try ever so hard to put a different light on the general use of the words in the bible. It would appear that along with murder the bible as such does not go along with same sex relationships. The christian is suppose to love and try and convert the sinners of every sort.

So to act hostile towards others like many US christians is not to be found in the NT. "The man" said on one occasion where are your accusers. Neither do I accuse you go and sin no more.

I suggest if you want to be in the church thing then find the ones where they do not take the bible seriously and you do like wise then believe whatever you want.. Many do all the time. And if you are happy as gay and enjoy a good relationship then be happy do not worry about me or anyone else. And please do not try and convert us.

It is important we respect each other's freedom. We all should be so busy for having a good life that we have no time to be against things unless they destroy people's lives like governemnrt cuts for the marginalised.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
