VNC I recommend using RealVNC, available at realvnc.com/ Basically, your mom downloads and installs the server, you dowload and install the client, and then your PC can access hers. You have full control via the mouse and the keyboard. I've used this several times to help my parents out when something goes FUBAR with their system..
Several Options You can utilize the builtin remote desktop facility that is built-in to the latest MS operationg systems. This would require some configuration on the remote PC; basically enabling remote desktop and securing it. The other thing that would have to be addressed would be addressing any firewalls that are in line, this would take a little more work, yet is faily well documented on the MS site.
Another solution is to use a web based implementation. There is a free option in this area called LogMeIn, very straight forward and simple to use. You'll find it here secure.logmein.com/products/free/Default... Hope this helps..
Try LogMeIN I have found LogMeIn (logmein.com" rel="nofollow">logmein.com) a useful tool. The free version allows you to remotely control any computer anywhere (provided that it is switched on! ).
The PC to be accessed must have the free downloaded code installed. Thereafter, it can be accessed from anywhere on the web. Multiple PCs can be controlled in this way.It functions exactly in the same manner as if you were sitting in front of the target PC.
But note that it can be pretty slow... Sources: logmein.com" rel="nofollow">logmein.com .
Some cost-effective ways to do remote control You didn’t mention what PC operating system you have, and what version, or what kind of internet connection your mom has. I’m going to start by assuming that you both have Windows XP, a high-speed internet connection, and neither of you has a static (i.e. , pre-assigned) IP address.
If one of you is using dial-up, remote control will work, but you’ll have to be veeerrrry paaatient -- screens refresh dreadfully slowly on most dial-up connections. MSN Messenger comes with Windows XP, and has a collaboration utility called Remote Assistance. It’s free if you are using MSN Messenger.
Here’s what’s required: 1) You both have MSN Messenger installed on your PCs. If you don’t already have it installed, you an download it from msn.com by going to the Popular Downloads area and clicking on the Windows Live product family. 2) You’ll each have to set the other one up as a contact in MSN messenger 3) Mom will have to invite you to a Remote Assistance session. It’s a little different for each version of MSN Messenger.
On version 7.5, you click Actions on the menu bar, then select Request Remote Assistance. If you can get her that far, you should be in good shape. Once she sends the request and you accept it, you’ll be connected to each other.
A Remote Assistance window will open in a minute or two, and you can use it to chat with each other, turn on audio (if you have it), trade files, etc. You will be the "expert" and will be able to see mom’s desktop, warts and all . She won’t be able to see anything on your PC; it’s a one-way view. You will have a button on your local Remote Assistance window that will give you control of her desktop, if she gives you permission (a pop-up window will ask her for permission).
You can both type, but only one of you should be moving the mouse at a time. Either of you can cancel your remote control of her desktop by pressing the Escape key. The only thing I would caution you about is that mom may not remember that you can see everything on her desktop, even after hitting the Esc key for remote control.
Once your session is done, be sure to hit the Disconnect button in the Remote Assistance window to close your view of mom’s desktop (no spying!). Two good, not-free products are GoToMyPC (www.gotomypc.com) and WebEx PCnow (www.webex.com). I’ve used both of them and they work well.
They are a bit more user-friendly than MSN Messenger, in that you can initate the support session and mom doesn’t have to do much more than click on a link and keep clicking "ok" prompts. The help on Remote Assistance in MSN Messenger is pretty sketchy; help and support for GoToMyPC and WebEx is much better. Neither is free, but both companies offer a free trial, which may be all you’ll need to get your mom up and running.
I recommend trying all three recommendations from this post with a trusted on-line friend or mom, if she has the tolerance for it, so you can choose the one that works best for both of you. Hope this helps you! Good luck.

How to know if your computer is being accessed by computer remotely.
I was just looking at some of these kids requesting homework help. Obviously they have computer access, but.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
