First off, lemme state that I respect punk rock, maybe the only real "white-kid blues" that's come up in the decades I've loved R&P. 'Kinda we don't give a crap about tradition, we are who we are, we don't care what you think we oughta look like, we wanna play what we wanna hear, and so forth. Then let's consider a term from the larger world: "paradox".
You can look it up as you like. Worrying about an acceptable "uniform" dress for a style that rejected acceptability is a paradox, and pseudo-punk, if not anti-punk. Wear what the f*** you want.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
