The University has a number of policies and procedures regulating the disposal of chemicals and other hazardous waste. In the case of identified chemicals, Health and Safety arranges for a hazardous waste disposal contractor to pick up and dispose of identified chemicals in accordance with regulatory requirements. To participate in these regular disposals a “Chemical Waste Disposal Request Form†(Link #12(d) says “Appendix 7 CLSPâ€â€¦where is that?) must be completed and returned to Health and Safety HR.
Further information of the disposal of other hazardous materials such as empty chemical containers, glassware, sharps and unknown chemicals can be found here. More.
