Guide Here is a guide on how to do this using some other free software available for Windows. You can also use YamiPod or SharePod or iDump. They will all dump your songs from the iPod back to your Windows computer.

Anapod Explorer This program will basically copy all your songs from the iPod back top your pc. It works with Vista. I actually prefer a different program called iPodRip.It is free, unlike Anapod, and works really good.

Use a external memory. If you plug in the ipod you should be able to put the songs on to a memory stick or something. Then drag from the memory stick on to your itunes library.It definetly works if your moving it from one computer to another.
