How can I get white lace that has yellowed over 30 years back to white on Christening gown?

My 30 year old daughter's Christening gown has hand sewn lace at bottom. The gown is pure white, but the lace over the years has yellowed somewhat (not a lot). I used ritz whitening and something for yellowing, but it is just a few shades off WHITE!

Does anyone have a sure remedy, because my daughter is having a baby girl and I would love for her to wear her mommy's gown. My daughter thinks the difference in color is too obvious, so I really want a sure fire fix! Thanks to anyone who can help!

A: If the Mrs. Stewarts doesn't work. I know you can try the fresh lemon juice and waterbath on the lace, and put it in the sun to remove the stains. This works great on stained antique tablecloths.

As a last resort you can carefully remove the lace to clean it as the gown itself may not withstand all the washings. Hand stitching it back on isn't that difficult. If it doesn't come clean then just remove it, and or replace it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
