How can I make walking outside the house safer for someone with dementia?

Design a looped or circular path in your yard that will lead the walker back to the door. Provide prominent landmarks (a bench, brightly colored birdhouse, patch of flowers or decorative sculpture) along the way to make the walk interesting. Markers are especially important at the halfway point and near the door as points of reference.

Also, install a distinctive mailbox, paint your door a bright color, add large contrasting house numbers or decorate the entrance in a unique way. Not only will it be easier for you to find your home, but friends and emergency personnel will find it more easily.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
