Java.util.Date.getTime() gives the milliseconds since the epoch while Jython (just like CPython) gives seconds since the epoch. So you need to divide the values given from java.util. Date by 1000.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
