They're cheap and work very well in my experience. The only alternative is to use a car stereo with an audio input. Common on the newer ones but rare on older ones.

Can use tape deck adapter If your car stereo has a tape deck you can (very cheaply) pick up an adapter that you insert into your tape deck and plug into your ipod. My wife uses this all the time. She tried the FM transmitter but we have too many stations in the LA area and just couldn't find a frequency that wouldn't leak in radio stations.

If you want a more elegant solution then you could replace your current car stereo. Many of the new models are ipod compatible and many of those you can control your ipod via your car stereo controls.

What you will need then.... What you need then is a car stereo with an Auxiliary Input (ie: a jack on the faceplate or under the face plate) so you can connect your iPod's Phono Out (ie: where you plug your headphones in) to your Aux In, and so your iPod can be heard over your stereo without the FM transmitter. These stereo units are probably going to start at about $120 (if you find the cheapest ones)... but I also found this site that shares some advice about asking your car stereo specialist to hardwire your antenna jack into an RCA in, which may work. Probably a bit pricey, too, though.

Thinking of RCAs,... I would assume there is a way (if you have multi RCA ins in your car stereo and don't use an amplifier) that you could find some sort of adapter that might have a phono out jack on one end and RCA left/right in's for your stereo... like this But what you will want to do is speak to a car audio specialist or look at the specs for your specific car stereo model to see if you have RCA inputs for your existing deck.

You need a wireless transmitter to attach to it I have widgetted several options. I have used the most inexpensive one, and it worked fine, though my guess would be that the more expensive ones might work better and give better sound quality. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
