How can one glace nuts or dried fruits without sugar? Any substitutes? Thanks?

You can certainly substitute Splenda in any recipe that calls for sugar -- cup for cup, according to the Splenda. Com FAQ linked below. Also an interesting recipe for 'Cherry Glaze' is linked below, using sugar-free preserves and cherry liqueur.

Thanks to everyone for their ideas. I might just try the recipe for making my own peel to see if I like that better than the store stuff, and the idea about using just zest or flavouring is a good one too. All the ideas were very good.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
