Thunderbird is an excellent email client. I use it in preference to all of the others I have tried. It also has a calendar add-on called Lightning that is worth getting.
Setting up Thunderbird is quite easy. As you already have Outlook Express - when you run the installer it will ask you if you want to migrate your accounts from Express to Thunderbird. If for some reason it does not do so.
Then you can import them by selecting Tools/Import from the top level menu bar. It will put these in a profile. You can edit these from the Left column of Thunderbird when it's up and running.
A useful thing to do if you have several email accounts - is to have them all go to the same Inbox. You can do this by clicking on "Local Folders" in the left column and choosing "View Settings for this account" from the main display. Here you can see all the accounts and their settings.
For example - whether to leave messages up on the server and all the other options you can imagine. There are many of them but they are laid out very well and the defaults are correct for the vast majority of users. References on how to do many things in Thunderbird can be found below.
Here's a video on sending your first email with Thunderbird.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
