Give yourself a break. I know you want to do everything and be the best you can be in all your roles. None of us actually make goals to be mediocre.
But I've come to an amazing and liberating truth in my life. I don't have to be the one doing everything for everyone in my life in order to thrive or have a thriving household. The other female doctors in my group often remind ourselves that not only are we doing the surgery and patient care our male counterparts are doing every day, but we also go home and do everything their wives do in addition.
I suggest you stop beating yourself up. Unless someone is going to die or your house is going to be foreclosed by you skipping your next task, give yourself permission to leave unimportant things undone, to seek out efficient solutions that free up time (order groceries online or send the babysitter to the store), to stop taking yourself so seriously since not everyone else does, and to get rid of things or superficial relationships that are weighing you down.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
