To the International Community I wish to speak out on behalf of the suffering children of Zimbabwe. I am a Zimbabwean mother and a nursing sister who has worked in a government hospital. I am also a Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) activist.
Imagine a child who has been abused running into a place of safety only to find the head of the care-givers is the very man who harmed you. Imagine a paedophile answering a child helpline. We were absolutely horrified that President Robert Mugabe was Zimbabwe's representative at the United Nations General Assembly Special Session for Children when he is directly responsible for the terrible suffering of the children of Zimbabwe.
POLITICISED LIVES I would like to bring to your attention how our Zimbabwean children are living, starting with the "minor" and leading to the "major" abnormalities they face. Zimbabwean children from a very early age are, through force of circumstance, politicised. They are fully aware of the high level of danger ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
