Chimps have better priorities than do humans. It's why there aren't any chimp wars for internationalist banking institutions, or chimp religious conflicts. I wish I were a chimp, and looking up a young Jane Goodall's skirt.
We obviously weren't content with just food, sex and a place to sleep.
Genes is one thing and the brain is another.
If you read Genesis properly you will find that God created two LIGHTS: one to illuminate the day (the sun), and one the night (our moon). These he affixed to the firmament which was - at the time - thought to be the inside of a fixed dome. There are even texts that describe 'the hatches of heaven': from ancient Egyptian hiereoglyphs.
Then you have 'doorways': in Revelation. And let's not forget that the inside of this 'dome' - with its doorways and hatches - could be reached by a ladder: Jacob's Ladder. Illimitable space, as we know it today, did not exist anywhere in the Bible.
The God of the Bible did not know the true nature of the Universe. In fact - if you had described space, as we know it, to a priest in the Middle Ages you would have been burnt alive at the stake. Religious authorities hate the very thought of Evolution - and its not just about what Charles Darwin had to say about our past.
Its more about the way WE ARE STILL EVOLVING! They are stuck in a past that never existed and they want you stuck there - with your brain stuck full of gunk - with them. Mankind is out there exploring space because some people had the good sense - and the bravery - to ignore the protestations of the inquisition.
We will, eventually, take our rightfull place among the star faring peoples of the Cosmos despite the attempts by the Faith to prevent us from exploring our own imaginations. We dare to dream.
B.S. To put it bluntly. Are you saying that you personally know how much time is needed for evolution to take place? No one said that monkeys or apes turned into humans but rather that at some point in time, evolution cause separate species to be created from the same gene pool.
Science has proven that at one point, whales were land animals but now your trying to say that not enough time has passed for evolution to occure. Heck in the last 200 years , the average human is about 3 inches taller. Good try but I think you need to be the one to look things up.
This is true, but they jump an average of 30% farther...that's progress!
Chimps have been in space. Before humans! And do you know how much practice a human being needs to jump from tree to tree like that?
And freerunning is so much more dangerous for humans than it is for chimps. But maybe one day we will evolve and be born with the ability to leap from tree to tree, if we still have them by that time. Then we can leave our cars at home.
And stop ruining our environment.
Wow, what an intelligent christian question.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
