Those days are over just like there are a lot of people in congress who are wealthy. The days when a politicians really care and love doing public work to help better the poor and have a voice for the voiceless is gone. Almost all of them are in the pocket of lobbyist.
Out of the two Romney and Obama. I think Obama is more in touch with the people and know about struggles and worried about paying the bills. Willard's was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Actually, that would be a TERRIBLE idea. Whether you like it or not, it takes money to advertise and let people know about you. (can you name even ONE of the 11 other candidates that ran for President in 2008?) If they are too poor to do that, then they would be beholden to the people and superpacs that do spend money to put them there.
We need the opposite. A President worth Billions like Warren Buffet or Bill Gates that has enough money they can get elected while still telling special interests what they can DO with themselves, and make policies that don't piss off large contributors.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
