If it's only occasionally, like once every few weeks, I see nothing wrong with it and I think it would be ridiculous to call the parents irresponsible. Now if it were four times a week that would be way different, that would be seriously unhealthy and I'd feel sorry for the kids, being taught such bad eating habits. But I see nothing wrong with giving kids fast food, sweets, etc.In MODERATION.

Because they have some healthy manu items and my kids are otherwise very healthy.

A lot of kids eat McDonalds - its fun to get the toy. The happy meal is sort of a product of our culture. Also, once in awhile it isnt bad.

Their* well, it's easy to go to the nutrition section in the website and see what's contaminated and what's not. Something like a fruit and walnuts salad doesn't have anything harmful.

Easily. A bit of McDonalds isnt going to kill them. You need to chill out.

Well.. before you go screaming about McD's -- keep in mind that many HOME pantries aren't very good either with all the processed foods, and chips, and soda, and "fruit flavored" snacks instead of real fruit, etc etc. Fact is... McDonalds was rated as one of the more healthier fast food joints... which isnt saying much, but it's still healthier then most of the processed snack foods people buy for home consumption.

I'll make a deal with ya: You tell me what gives you the right to imply that someone like me is irresponsible for giving my kids McDonald's, etc... a few times a month, and *maybe* I'll think about answering this beyond asinine question :) Another responder brought up an amazing concept: Walk a mile in the shoes of a parent, then maybe you can judge us :) Until you have children of your own, you have no right to judge anyone or call someone an irresponsible parent over something as stupid as fast food.

Holier Then Thou" kind of people irritate me beyond reason :) I'm a mother to three boys, ages 5, 3 and 2 and a 1 week old baby girl, I'm also a stepmother of a 12 year old girl and 10 year old boy, and so far they're all perfectly healthy and happy, despite my husband and my decision to give them fast food a few times a month.

Cause it taste good and a little bit of bad is also good because you half to balance your diet thats why we eat desert even tho its bad for us.

State why you think this is any concern of yours, and I'll contemplate giving an answer.

I tell you what kind of parent: the one who has been on their feet working for 12 hours, to come home do laundry real fast, get the sports equipment ready, ram through the homework, and run to the field to sit through 3 games- does the dishes, changes the diaper, holdsthe colic baby all day, chases the toddlers, picks up the home, puts away the laundry, sweeps, mops, dusts, the one who is sleep depri ed and really did not have the time that day to cook a 7 course, organic, free range, gourmet, vegetarian meal. That is the kind of parent who feeds their kid fast food. A parent.

Don't judge one till you are one. Walk a couple hundred miles in a woman or mans shoes, then talk.

If they feed the kids fast food once in a while,it's no big deal. It only becomes a problem when the kids over-indulge in fast food,as that can cause obesity and other health problems.

My kids have gotten a clean bill of health from their pediatrician. I manage to keep them alive and everything. It's always amusing to me that some of the biggest parenting "experts" never have children of their own.So if you don't like that I sometimes take them to get a little fast food when I don't feel like cooking...well then I guess you can employ your PERFECT parenting skills on your own children when you have them.

The kids think it tastes wonderful, In my opinion, I find most fast food places absolutely disgusting due to the products of the food, and the fake look and texture.

I rarely have fast food, but mostly because it's all they can afford or it's something quick and easy. I usually make dinner for me and my dad or my dad makes it or we buy something to heat up.

It's not an everyday food but once in a while is okay.

I get my son a happy meal from McDonald's about 2 or 3 times a month. I'm a perfectly responsible parent. He has a very healthy diet & is in perfect shape for his age. It's a nice change sometimes.

Who are you to say a parent isn't responsible if they let their kids have a happy meal? Especially not having children yourself. I'm sure you've had fast food in your lifetime.

Sorry thats this America for you And by FDA standers it has to be a certain grade meat.

The parents who can't afford any other options would be responsible to see to it that they at least eat SOMETHING, even if it's at McDonalds. In America, it's cheaper than produce and meals to be cooked at home from the grocery stores.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
